What is it?
This is a modern reinterpretation of the classic compact audio player. Built on the open-source FakePodNano lossless audioplayer project, it is a fully functional lossless music player that supports high-quality audio playback in a sleek, durable form factor.
It features:
CNC-machined aluminum alloy body
Teal-black anodized surface finish for durability and aesthetics
High-resolution screen for crisp and clear display
Simple, intuitive controls
Support for lossless audio formats (e.g. FLAC, WAV, APE, MP3)
Why did you make it?
Portable music players once defined the way we experienced music. While smartphones dominate today, many people still crave a dedicated device focused purely on sound quality and simplicity.
I wanted to combine retro charm with modern quality, creating a standalone music player that feels premium in hand, has excellent build quality, and provides a distraction-free listening experience.
What makes it special?
Premium Build: CNC-machined aluminum alloy, solid and durable.
Refined Finish: Teal-black anodized surface, scratch-resistant and stylish.
High-Quality Display: Clear, bright, and sharp screen for smooth navigation.
Hi-Fi Sound: Supports multiple lossless audio formats (FLAC, WAV, APE, MP3).
Compact & Elegant: Pocket-sized with a nostalgic yet modern design.
Open-Source Roots: Based on the FakePodNano open hardware project – hackable and community-friendly.
This makes it not just a music player, but also a collector’s piece for DIY enthusiasts, retro tech lovers, and anyone who values pure, high-quality audio in a compact form.
