SCSI to SD Adapter for Macintosh (Blue Case) - Internal 50-pin / External DB25 Replace Mechanical HDD with Solid-State Storage

What is it?

BlueSCSI v1 is an open-source, open-hardware SCSI storage emulator designed to replace legacy SCSI hard drives (and even CD/floppy drives) in vintage computers.

You insert disk image files on an SD card, and BlueSCSI presents them as real SCSI volumes to your old system—no changes needed in your vintage hardware.

It supports multiple disk types simultaneously and runs on a Raspberry Pi Pico/Pico-W/Pico 2-W.

Why did you make it?

The project was born from a community-driven desire to preserve and upgrade vintage systems without relying on aging mechanical drives.

By leveraging modern, affordable Raspberry Pi Pico hardware, BlueSCSI v2 provides a reliable, flexible, and maintainable replacement that supports future enhancements—ensuring your classic computer can keep running.

What makes it special?

Modular and future-proof — runs on Raspberry Pi Pico boards, upgrade by simply swapping in newer Pico versions.

Multi-image support — emulate hard drive, CD, floppy and removable storage at the same time.

Multiple form factors — Desktop 50-Pin, DB25, PowerBook, and Centronics models for different vintage systems.

Customizable hardware features — options like dual SD slots, configurable LED brightness, I2C/Initiator mode, and proper termination.

Flexible power — powered via SCSI termination voltage, USB, or Berg connector (Desktop variant).
