What is it?

This compact Apple II floppy disk emulator lets an Apple II, Apple II Plus, or Apple IIe load disk images from an SD card instead of relying on aging 5.25-inch floppy disks. It includes the STM32F411 BlackPill controller board and SD card interface needed for the emulator itself.

What's in the box?

Package includes: 1x Apple II floppy disk emulator board assembly, 1x installed STM32F411 / BlackPill controller board, 1x OLED display and four-button interface, 1x prepared SD card / microSD card, and 1x ribbon cable for the Apple II floppy interface. Apple II computer, Disk II controller/interface card, and copyrighted disk images are not included.

Installation

Connect the emulator to the Apple II floppy interface using the included ribbon cable, insert the prepared SD card, then power on and use the OLED screen and four buttons to choose a disk image. Basic Apple II hardware knowledge is recommended.

Warranty

Hardware is tested before shipping whenever stock is available. The product includes a 1-year non-transferable warranty covering manufacturing defects. If compatibility or setup issues occur, contact support before requesting a return.

What is it?

It’s a highly integrated DIY Maker development board built around the advanced ESP32-S3 chip. This board features a 1.8-inch IPS capacitive touch display with a 360×360 resolution, robust multimedia capabilities (video, MP3 playback, MJPEG, and photo frame functions), and integrated wireless charging via QI protocol. Designed for both hobbyists and professionals, it combines local edge computing with seamless connectivity to remote large models, making it a powerful tool for AIoT applications. The board’s construction features a pure aluminum alloy CNC frame paired with an IPS screen, ensuring exceptional durability and refined craftsmanship.

Why did you make it?

The motivation behind this project is to empower makers and developers with an open, transparent, and high-performance platform for rapid prototyping. By leveraging the ESP32-S3’s impressive processing power and energy efficiency, the board was created to facilitate innovative AIoT projects that merge local edge computing with remote advanced models. Open documentation—including publicly available schematics (in PDF format)—ensures that the community has full access to design insights, encouraging collaboration, learning, and further evolution of the technology.

What makes it special?

High Performance, Low Power Consumption:

Powered by the dual-core ESP32-S3 chip, the board offers advanced processing for local edge computing tasks while minimizing energy usage.

Extensive Multimedia and Connectivity Capabilities:

With features such as a secondary display function (AIDA64), MP3 and MJPEG playback, photo frame capabilities, and real-time weather display, it supports a wide range of creative applications. Integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth BLE5.0 enable robust connectivity, crucial for modern AIoT solutions.

Premium Craftsmanship:

The board is encased in a pure aluminum alloy CNC-machined body, paired with a crisp IPS capacitive touchscreen, providing not only durability and reliability but also an attractive, professional finish.

Open Documentation:

All design files, including the detailed schematic PDF, are openly shared with the community. This transparency reinforces a maker-friendly approach and allows for modification, customization, and collaborative innovation.
